"Get away with me and you'll recover your life." We know how important the soul is to effective ministry. We also know how easy it is to get caught up in details of ministry and suffer from a thirsty soul.
The UYWI Soul Care Retreat is held off-site at the Sacred Heart Retreat House, Monastery in Alhambra, California. It is designed to give urban youth workers time and space to stop, rest, reflect, and reconnect with God. It's for people who are looking to "get away" with Jesus.
During the retreat, you'll enter into a gentle rhythm of solitude and community, silence and spoken word, with prayer practices to challenge and rest your heart and mind. In addition to time and space for you to be on your own with God, you'll have opportunities to participate in a communal time of prayer, praise and worship several times through the day, meet one-on-one with a spiritual director, or engage with others on the journey in small group experiences.
This retreat is designed for people new to retreats AND for veteran retreat-goers.

Registration Deadline: May 2nd 2008
Cancellation/Transfer Policy: If you are unable to attend, another youth worker can attend in your place, or you can cancel your registration up to April 15th for a refund, minus the $50 deposit. Cancellations after April 15th are non-refundable.
Who: Youth workers who are new to retreats and veteran retreat-goers. Space is limited to 35 youth workers, so don’t delay in registering today!

Description: A sweet and gentle rhythm will flow through various prayer practices; imaginative, creative and interactive; silence, solitude, praise and worship, individual and group experiences. You will try new things and perhaps enjoy your favorite way to connect with God as well. All meals will be together and breakfast will be silent.

Archie Honrado:
Archie Honrado is a passionate worshipper of God and a 20 year veteran of youth ministry through Youth With A Mission. He is also the Youth Pastor at Granada Hills Baptist in the San Fernando Valley. He has trained and led teams of young missionaries to share their faith through drama, music and testimonies in urban centers throughout the world.
