Saturday Workshops

Intentionality Diversifying Your Youth Ministry
taught by Curtis Zackery, CZ Music Ministry
Many student leaders have the admirable desire to see diversity introduced into their ministry. At times, the strategies to achieve this may not be the most beneficial to the cause. Some of the methods we use to “reach out” to a certain area or demographic might actually be stereotypical, offensive and off-putting to our prospective student. Learn diversity with greater sensitivity to enhance your ministry.

Passionate Interchange: How to Have Intense Conversations w/ Abba
taught by Ilcian Lemus, El Camino Metro San Fernando Valley
This workshop is not about creating a pious prayer schedule. It has nothing to do with checking something off a “to do list”. But, it has everything to do with conversation: heart-felt, real, honest, raw. We will learn to speak out the cries of our heart to a God who is the only answer. Because: our call to people starts on our knees.

This is no time for passive youth ministry – Kids’ lives are at stake! Learn practical steps for moving your ministry from surviving to THRIVING! Build your team, become a more relational youth ministry than you’ve ever been, and raise up student leaders who will reach their friends and serve beyond the four walls of the church.

Find out how this paradigm shift from playing church to actually helping hurting students has helped us double our youth ministry.

Team Players and Team Slayers
taught by Jackie Gichohi, Greater Mt. Sinai Church
There are three types of people who may be on your ministry team, those who are in for the long haul, those who are there for a season and those who are there for a reason. This workshop will help you identify the confidants, comrades and constituents on your ministry team. Once you understand their heart and mind it can lead you to a healthier place in leadership.
