Program name: UYWI Webinar Alerts
Program description: UYWI sends text messages to individuals who register for or attend a UYWI Zoom webinar. Messages may include webinar reminders, follow-up resources and links, event updates, and occasional information about other UYWI programs, trainings, and fundraising campaigns.
How you're enrolled
You are enrolled by voluntarily providing your mobile phone number when registering for or attending a UYWI Zoom webinar and checking the applicable consent box(es). Consent is not a condition of registering for or attending a webinar.
We collect two separate types of consent, and you may opt in to either or both:
- Informational messages — reminders, follow-ups, and updates directly related to a webinar you registered for or attended.
- Marketing messages — information about other UYWI events, programs, or fundraising campaigns not tied to a specific webinar.
Agreeing to one does not automatically enroll you in the other.
Message frequency and cost
Message frequency varies depending on webinar activity and the programs you opt into. Message and data rates may apply. Contact your wireless carrier for details on your messaging or data plan.
How to opt out
Reply STOP at any time to any message to cancel further text messages from that program. You will receive a one-time confirmation that you have been unsubscribed. You may continue to receive messages for a short period while your request is processed.
Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact us directly using the information below.
Carriers
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Supported carriers include major U.S. wireless carriers; participation may vary by carrier.

Changes
UYWI may update these SMS Terms & Conditions from time to time. Continued enrollment after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Privacy Policy (SMS Program)
This Privacy Policy describes how Urban Youth Workers Institute ("UYWI," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with our text messaging (SMS) program.
Information we collect
When you opt in to receive text messages, we collect your mobile phone number along with any name, email address, or webinar registration details you provide.
How we use your information
We use this information to send you the text messages described in our SMS Terms & Conditions above, respond to your requests, and improve our webinars and programs.
No sharing of SMS opt-in data
No mobile information, including phone numbers and SMS opt-in/consent status, will be shared with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. This information is shared only with service providers (such as our text messaging platform) as needed to deliver the SMS program, or as required by law. All other categories of personal information collected by UYWI exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this data is never shared with third parties for any purpose outside of the SMS program.
Data retention and security
We retain your information for as long as needed to operate the SMS program and comply with legal obligations, and we use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect it.
Your choices
You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, or request access to or deletion of your information by contacting us below.
