Join Our Battle.

For 25 years UYWI has been on the leading edge of Urban Ministry leadership development. We have a rich history of helping young, urban multi-ethnic ministry leaders maximize the gifts, abilities, and calling God has given them to reach kids in the hardest parts of our cities.

Our heart is for urban youth to have the leaders and role models they need to lead transformed lives by the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

To that end, we want to build an army of young urban leaders who will reach and disciple this next generation to be, do and love like Jesus. We believe that building the leadership capacity of these urban multi-ethnic leaders is the key to more effective and dynamic urban church leadership. The result will be changed lives and transformed communities.

Intern With Us

The UYWI Student Internship Program is designed for undergraduate and graduate students currently enrolled in a degree-granting program who are interested in gaining valuable experience in a creative, fast-paced nonprofit organization — ideally, for school credit as part of their degree requirements. Although for specific projects we may include some compensation.

Please note that we do not currently accept applications from high school students.

Our interns take part in a collaborative work environment that will provide them with the opportunity to speak with leaders at all levels of the organization as well as participate in meetings where they can learn business process, strategic planning, and operational development first hand.

Internships are project based and may be seasonal. Please send all inquiries for internship to internships@uywi.org
