Linda Louise Nixon, 83, passed away Sunday, Nov. 17, 2024, at 1:20 p.m. at her home in Vacaville, Calif. She was surrounded by her family and slipped gracefully and peacefully into eternity and the presence of her Savior following a brief illness.

Linda was an educator in the Pasadena School District for more than 40 years, a leader, an incredible mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, a dedicated church member at Faith Community Church, a prayer warrior and, at the core of her being, a follower of Christ.

Linda played a vital role in FCC's Women's Ministry, and one of the most fulfilling things in her life was pouring into the lives of women around her through discipleship and countless Bible studies. She was a trusted friend and mentor who lovingly challenged, encouraged, and comforted others with both her words and understanding silence and, most of all, through prayer. Her life was marked by her passion for the Lord and love of His Word, and she worked tirelessly to share that love and passion with other women.

She was straightforward and strong, independent and intentional, consistent and courageous, stylish and spunky, witty and wise, fierce and God-fearing. She was introspective and worked hard to be better, yet she was still very particular about the way she viewed life. She cared about your feelings but loved you enough to hurt them when you needed to hear the truth. She consistently wanted to be more like Christ, and encouraged others to do the same. Linda touched the lives of countless people in the name of Christ, through church, her children, grandchildren and career in education. Her life was given to serve others, and is an example for all of us to live intentionally, love others in meaningful ways and continually press on after Christ.

She is survived by her two children, Tiffany Kile (Jon) and Thomas Nixon (Rachael), seven granddaughters, one grandson and one great-granddaughter.
