Empowering Leaders to Lead

EPiC Ministries

I am currently enrolled in the UYWI’s 90 Degrees Certification Program and I serve youth at EPiC Ministries.

The name EPiC Youth is very important to our vision of Jr High and High School Ministry. Endless Power in Christ is what we want to impress upon the minds, hearts, and souls of all the young men and women we have the opportunity to serve. Our desire is to guide our students to see how God is EPiCally working in their lives, and when they submit and serve Him, He will use them to do EPiC work for theKingdom.

I’ve been serving in youth ministry for about 13 years. My goal in ministry is to create a safe environment for students that makes them feel loved and cared while our teachers deliver Biblical principles and truths. I have a passion to create the best environment; one that students love to return to and desire to be a part of every week.

90 Degrees Certification Program Impact

The 90 Degrees Program has been a tremendous blessing to me and I’ve grown as a leader. The UYWI team has challenged me to step up my leadership skills and to grow in areas I need to strengthen; volunteer training, personal care, self development, and communication.

Our ministry has worked hard to create better systems for volunteer recruitment and training them so that they are ready to serve to the fullest of their ability. I have recently rearranged my schedule, and created space for my own personal development so that I am growing and becoming a better leader for my ministries. Lastly, UYWI has challenged me to look at new ways to communicate to youth through videos, visuals, and actions so that we stay relevant to current youth culture.

Youth Impact-Keeley’s Story

My wife helps lead both the Jr High and High School ministries. She recently had the opportunity to lead Keeley, a High School senior in our youth ministry, into a personal relationship with Jesus and out of a lifestyle of sexual immorality. We met Keeley this past summer and at the time she was involved in a sexual relationship with her boyfriend and had no desire to change. Thankfully during summer camp she made the decision to give her life to Christ but then disappeared for a couple of months. She started attending again this past month during the time we were doing a series on purity. Keeley has now broken all ties from her boyfriend and has made a commitment to purity. We are thankful for her and praise God for having his hand over her life.
