Building for the Future

Over the last 5 years, UYWI has been working hard to be laser-focused on developing healthy, high-capacity, and high-impact urban leaders. We have designed, tested, and improved our core programs of Resources, Certification, Coaching, and Networks. Out of this intentional season, we have seen significant outcomes.
Leaders that have been trained under our renewed programs have increased both the number of youth reached and their annual budgets by 50% to 300%. Churches are revitalizing their youth groups, while new initiatives and non-profits have been launched. It is an exciting time, yet the need is still so great.

Leaders, both domestically and internationally, are asking for more resources, more networks, more cohorts, and more coaching. Nairobi, Guatemala City, Johannesburg, Madrid, and Santo Domingo urgently ask for training and resources. Urban leaders in every U.S. city, where we provide training want, more Gospel-centered development and resources to help them reach more youth.
Meanwhile, the U.S. population continues to diversify. We know, from the latest census for youth under the age of 23, that minorities have already become the majority. By 2027, this is projected to be true for ages 18-27. In addition to that, according to UN-Habitat, it is estimated that 60% of urban populations worldwide will be under the age of 18 by 2030. The future of a young, urban, and multi-ethnic world is here now.

All of this has led us in asking ourselves what we need to do to prepare for 5X the growth in every area of UYWI:

In 2025, we are Building for the Future and 5X the growth. We are deeply grateful for your prayers and partnership. Thank you for choosing to believe in the next generation of urban leaders!
Bless you,
